Philosophy/Process
SmartChoice Driver School truly cares about the affect we have on other people’s lives and we teach using the advanced method of commentary driving, which requires students to verbalize what they are doing and what they are seeing. This type of teaching technique will force the student to begin thinking for themselves behind the wheel right away.
You will be in the hands of a top driving instructor with skills and the passion to teach and prepare you for driving with the innate ability to operate and maneuver a vehicle with skill and confidence, and to (STRIVE) to drive and stay alive, which means to Scan Traffic continuously left to right and front to back and Recognize potential hazards and distractions in advance, Imagine the worst possible outcome, Visualize the best possible defensive action to best avoid or minimize the outcome, and Execute with urgency as you learn to drive on residential, city streets, rural roads, on the freeway, and in parking lots.
