Smart Choice Driver School is passionate about can helping any driver become a qualified Road Warrior.  Our Road Warrior training methods start with lesson 1 beginning drivers and are progressively designed for already licensed drivers who dare to challenge themselves to the next level of defensive driving and learn advanced techniques and strategies that most of us never learned that will improve operational, strategic, and tactical ability behind the wheel in heavy traffic, which will increase your skill level, Confidence and Safety on the road.

Road Warrior Philosophy/Process

These driving lessons are intended for all driver levels desiring to become a qualified Road Warrior and mprove their behind-the-wheel skills and confidence on freeways, city roads, rural roads, driving in adverse road conditions at different speeds during the day and night.

Road Warrior Lessons Can Include any or all of the following:

1. Learn Smart lane changing and merging techniques in heavy city and freeway traffic that most drivers are never taught, using a Commentary Training Method.

2. Our Instructors can teach you Smart Turning Techniques that will increase your ability and confidence handling a car.

   -

3. Practice Smart decision making and turning technique on left turns on solid green at intersections that will dramatically reduce your risk of an accident. (number one place for accidents on City Streets).

4. Learn Smart accelerating, de-accelerating, and braking techniques that will make you a much safer driver than most drivers on the road.

   -

5. Improve your parking skills by practicing Smart techniques for parallel, perpendicular forward and reverse.

   -

6. Everything you need to know to quickly interpret traffic, anticipate other drivers next move and react quickly to gain a safe advantage.

7. Reversing from parking spaces that will minimize risk of parking lot accidents (number one place overall for accidents is in parking lots).

   -

8. Practice Smart U-turn techniques and Know what to look for prior to u-turns to reduce accident risk.

9. Learn about control panel warning lights on cars and what you should do when a warning light is illuminated.

   -

10. Practice Evasive steering and braking responses to take for animals that may dart out in front of your car.

11. Practice Safe Emergency Stops at city and freeway speeds.

    -

12. How you should react to maintain steering control after tire blow out, going into a slide, running off on to soft shoulder on rural country type roads.
